Marie Del Cid.
During her formative years, Marie was heavily involved in the arts, taking up creative writing, drama, AP studio art and photography. Her experience has consisted of working in various retail stores throughout Vancouver, which helped her ground a deeper love for fashion, design and styling.
In 2012, she was accepted into the journalism program at Langara College in hopes of pursuing a career in writing. She is a multimedia journalist, writer and editor trained in print, radio and television broadcast journalism, as well as social media. Her work experience includes the Voice as both a reporter and editor, as well as the art director for the Langara Journalism Review magazine (2014 issue), interning at CTV News Vancouver, editing for B&C List (1982) Ltd., and being a copywriter and SEO campaign manager for Yellow Pages in Burnaby. She has experience in various industries including, journalism, public relations, publishing and marketing.
In her spare time, she enjoys watching scary movies, fiddling around with photography, reading and drinking tea. Whenever she gets the opportunity, Marie enjoys traveling to different parts of the world. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of French and Japanese.
