Coast Communications and Public Affairs Welcomes Tanya Corbet as an Associate

October 26th 2020

Almost twenty years ago I worked for the Mayors and Councillors in the Fraser Valley, advising on Indigenous Relations and treaty negotiations, representing municipal government perspectives. During that time, I met Tanya Corbet, who was working on the Tsawwassen First Nation’s treaty on behalf of her community. I was impressed at how smart, thoughtful and hardworking she was, we kept in touch over the years, and today I’m delighted to announce Tanya has joined Coast Communications as our newest Associate!

It's timely to add an Indigenous perspective to our team, especially to support clients who are Indigenous governments, organizations or businesses.

Tanya is a natural fit, given her training and experience in public relations, and her extensive experience at the political level, both as a TFN Councillor, and a candidate for the federal Conservative Party in Delta. Her extensive board experience, including as Vice Chair of KPU, is also a benefit to our not-for-profit clients: she understands governance, corporate reputation and profile raising intuitively from a staff and board perspective.
