Featured Not-For-Profit
As we all slowly emerge from our lockdowns and begin to rebuild our economy, Coast Communications will be featuring not-for profits in our COVID-19 newsletter to encourage us to all consider how we can begin our own recovery while helping others. Please email us if you have a charity you want us to profile.

Profile: Learning Disabilities Society

The Learning Disabilities Society is a research based, not-for-profit, charitable foundation serving children with learning disabilities in the Greater Vancouver area. They recently launched the RISE at Home program (Research-informed Individualized Student Education) - an innovative, adaptive online learning platform that provides students with learning disabilities one-to-one at home instruction, just as they would get during in-person sessions.

Coast Communications was pleased to support LDS when they launched the program in March, and my son has been working with an LDS tutor: he commented to me that he really felt his reading was starting to come together.
